LLP Law|Patent has been representing chain stores as well as landlords or tenants of commercial rental properties in commercial tenancy law for many years. The majority of statutory provisions in tenancy law are not mandatory for commercial leases. The parties must comply with a statutory written form, but are largely free to agree the content of the contract. This contractual freedom offers both the landlord and the tenant considerable opportunities, but also risks. Contract negotiation and contract drafting are therefore of particular importance in commercial tenancy law. This applies above all to commercial leases, which are usually concluded on a long-term basis. Mistakes in the drafting of the contract, in particular in the drafting of price clauses, can have long-term negative economic consequences for the client as landlord and/or entrepreneur. Thanks to our many years of experience in commercial tenancy law, we know what our clients need to look out for in long-term commercial tenancy agreements.
